ArtMeta is a beautifully rendered 3D metaverse where leading galleries, critically acclaimed artists, curators, and collectors converge to experience a fully immersive digital environment.

Acknowledging the saturation within the metaverse realm, the ArtMeta team recognised the significance of standing out. They approached N4 wanting to refine their brand identity and craft a truly representative image that would demonstrate the depth of their metaverse, speak to the world of fine art, and resonate with multiple audiences.

Lasting impressions in the metaverse

As NFTs, metaverse business, and the virtual world as a whole are continually progressing, we needed to identify and understand both the long and short-term effects this evolution has on the industry. ArtMeta’s presence had to seamlessly adapt to various platforms — from metaverses to physical art galleries — while making a robust, long-lasting impression.

A simple yet expansive digital system

By dedicating the early stages to thorough research in the form of collaborative workshops with ArtMeta, we defined the meticulous details of their branding. This explorative research uncovered ArtMeta’s conceptual values and overarching goal; to build trust with their audience. Together, we distinguished ArtMeta’s four foundational pillars — <code>, Hypercube, Compass, and Cyclops.

‘<code>’ marks your entrance into a new world. ‘Hypercube’ represents the intersection of the physically manifested and the virtually conceived. ‘Compass’ symbolises ArtMeta’s perpetual forward motion. And finally, ‘Cyclops’, the metaverse’s native population.

Distinctive signatures

As a comprehensive yet concise representation of ArtMeta, the four pillars were the driving force that inspired the logo and wordmark. We aimed to suggest a feeling of amalgamation by using an angular typeface and mirror effect.
